New Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi Revealed

Bandai Namco announced a brand new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi. 

The publisher has released a teaser trailer of the game yesterday. It is less than one minute long and highlights footage from past Budokai Tenkaichi titles before showing what looks to be the next. We see Goku getting more powerful in the video. Then, the text “Get Ready For Battle” or “A New Sparkling Begins” appears onscreen.

The game could be called Dragon Ball Sparking, as you can see. If you’re using Twitter’s built in translation function, it’s also what the tweet calls. However, the trailer concludes with “A New Budokai Tenkaichi”, the first of the three games in the Dragon Ball Z series, confirming that the game is new. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi III was released on July 7, 2007.  

Although the teaser trailer does not indicate whether this Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is or another, it is exciting to see that Bandai Namco still has their series. Dragon Ball FighterZ is not surprising that this announcement was made. Budokai Tenkaichi, a fighting video game series, is also being announced. However it is surprising to hear that there will be a new fighter before FighterZ 2, which is due to release in 2018.
