New DC League of Super-Pets trailer shows off villain Lulu

Comics have a long tradition of superheroes owning their super-pets. The idea makes sense. A major aspect of the superhero story is their relationships with their family members and coworkers. Many of them also have superpowers. New trailer. DC League of Super-PetsThis film celebrates these characters and features a group of pet-loving animals working together to save the world.

It looks like the movie starts off with Krypto, Superman’s dog, tutoring a cast of lesser known super-pets like Ace the Bat-Hound (Kevin Hart), Chip (Diego Luna), a squirrel with lightning powers, or Merton (Natasha Lyonne), a turtle with super speed. In the movie, members of Justice League appear to build friendships with their pets. Lulu, a mysterious guinea-pig kidnaps the League. The film will focus on Lulu’s motives and the origins of the Justice League.

With Superman and pals in danger, it’s the super-pets that have to band together and save them from Lulu. It looks like it’ll follow many of the typical beats of a superhero team-up movie, but with a heaping helping of inspiration from Pets’ Secret Life.
