Netflix’s Marvel shows, like Daredevil and Punisher, going to Disney Plus
Jessica Jones and Daredevil are joining Disney Plus as the Marvel Team. Disney has announcedAll series which premiered on Netflix on January 16th will be available on Disney Plus starting March 16. This announcement is just weeks after Netflix announced that all of the original Netflix series would be leaving the site where they were first aired.
Netflix’s Marvel partnership started with DaredevilThe show debuted in 2015. It ended abruptly in 2018 after it was cancelled. In total, Netflix distributed six Marvel shows: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Defenders, Iron Fist, The Punisher Luke Cage. Also included in the deal is Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.The first broadcast of the series was on ABC.
Disney Plus has expanded its Marvel series offering, which includes this move. Moon KnightIt will premiere in March. The characters of the DaredevilIn the Marvel Cinematic Universe, series also cross over to other films. These shows often have more violence than the Disney Plus offerings at present, so Disney has introduced new parental controls for the streaming service. New settings allow you to limit content that is R or TV-MA. These settings can be used to restrict access or to lock profiles that are not restricted with a pin code. These parental settings will need to be updated when Disney Plus is opened for the first time after March 16th.
