Netflix shares new and returning cast for Squid Game season 2

The second season of Squid Game Netflix will soon be able to stream the new movie “The Arrival”. Hwang Donghyuk announced the news in a 2022 fan letter. Netflix aired a short teaser during their Tudum, 2023 event.

Netflix has announced that Lee Jung-jae and Wi Ha-joon will reprise their respective roles in the first season.

Hwang’s letter laid out the journey the show took to get to this point:

The first season took twelve years to arrive. Squid GameLast year, life was a lot more exciting. The 12 day period was the longest of all. Squid Game The most watched Netflix series in history. As the writer and producer of Squid GameI would like to send a big shout out to our fans all over the globe. We appreciate you watching our show and enjoying it.

Gi-hun has returned. The Front Man is back. Season 2 is on its way. Season 2 is coming. You’ll also be introduced to Young-hee’s boyfriend, Cheol-su.

No release date has been set yet. There is no release date yet. Squid Game Netflix is also bringing in a reality show competition.

Hwang had previously confirmed, at a Nov. 9 Los Angeles event honoring the show’s first season, that he was in the planning process for the second season of the series.

“There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice!,” Hwang told the Associated Press. “But I will say there will indeed be a second season. It’s in my head right now. I’m in the planning process currently. But I do think it’s too early to say when and how that’s going to happen.”

Korean drama about survival Squid Game premiered on Netflix back in September and quickly became the service’s most popular original series, holding the number one spot on Netflix’s top 10 most popular shows and movies for four consecutive weeks.
