Need For Speed Unbound Volume 2 Update Adds New Content, Challenges, And Cosmetics

Need for Speed Unbound created the highest-scoring racing game in the world last year with high-octane races, adrenaline-fuelled police chases and a host of thrilling race tracks. Today, developer Criterion Games and publisher Electronic Arts announced Need for Speed Unbound – Volume 2, a title update that delivers new race types, rides, upgrades, events, challenges, cosmetics, and ways to interact with friends.

Need for Speed Unbound – Volume 2 aims to give players fresh ways to storm the streets of Lakeshore and compete. This update, which represents the first in a series of post-launch updates, introduces additional Endurance Events, new Rumble Races, and the ability to provoke cops into multiplayer chases with your friends. Volume 2 adds 40 challenges and 3 daily challenges that can be used to gain rewards such as experience or money.

Hot Laps Circuits of 30-second duration are a way to compete against the clock and earn rewards. Playlist Events provide more options and greater rewards such as a Custom Lotus Emira Balmain Edition. The Volume 2 rewards include stickers and new poses for drivers. Below is the trailer.

You can now purchase marked locations from all 100 Bears as well 80 Street Arts and Billboards. This premium DLC unlock comes with an exclusive Fury and Zen clothing pack. It includes a jacket and sweatshirt along with pants, sweatpants and caps.

Need for Speed Unbound – Volume 2 arrives on March 21 for all versions of the base game. You can read our full review of Need for Speed Unbound here.
