MultiVersus patch notes include longer level-ups with XP nerf
MultiVersus has a new update that’s set to bring a few changes to the game. Alpha patch 1.03 introduces Rick Sanchez as the game’s new fighter. It also makes some minor balance adjustments. The most important change is that it significantly raises the level of experience needed to be level 15.
The patch notes by developer Player First Games state that the XP required to progress from level 3 up to 15 has been increased to double. The developer says that it’s making the change because it felt that players were progressing through the levels too quickly, and it wanted to “make it a bit more of a journey.”
The only problem is, despite increasing the time it takes to earn these levels, Player First Games didn’t increase the rewards that players get for progressing. So it’s more work for the exact same reward.
Other than this slightly frustrating adjustment, the patch also brings in the game’s latest character with Rick Sanchez from Rick and MortyThe new anti-infinite system should prevent players getting involved in enemy combinations that combine the same move too many times.
MultiVersus patch 1.03 will arrive after the game’s maintenance, which should end around 1 p.m. ET. Check out the complete list of changes made in the last update MultiVersusYou can find the complete patch notes at patch.
