MultiVersus open beta launches in July

Warner Bros. has announced today MultiVersusOn July 26, Player First Games will release a free open beta of, their upcoming crossover fighting game. This open beta is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as well as Windows PC. All platforms will have cross-progression and play support.

In a video announcement, game director Tony Huynh revealed that players who participated in the game’s closed alpha will be guaranteed entry to the early access open beta on July 19 and receive a code via email to redeem on the platform of their choosing. Players new to the game can gain early access to the beta by connecting their WB Games account with their Twitch account. You can also watch streamers to be eligible for a chance to win an exclusive code.

MultiVersusThe game left a lasting impression on players when it was revealed for the first time last year. A platform fighting game à la Super Smash Bros. It also includes a wide range of DC characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn. Game of ThronesTom and Jerry and Finn and Jake, the Dog Adventure TimeGarnet and Steven Universe, just to name a few. Many familiar voices will reprise their roles in the game, including Maisie Williams and Kevin Conroy playing Batman.

MultiVersus is set to fully launch later this year with “dedicated server-based rollback netcode and content-filled seasons,” according to the developer.
