Minecraft’s next update is soon, along with a season for Dungeons

It’s a big time for MinecraftFans, big updates coming soon to the Bedrock Edition and spinoff dungeon creeper Minecraft Dungeons.

This is the first update Minecraft’s Cliffs & Caves: Part 2, which is also known as Patch 1.18. The update includes new biomes like snowy slopes and meadows. It also overhauls the cave systems below the Earth. The game will feature giant caverns that are larger than the ones currently available. Mountains will also reach higher up into the sky.

Cliffs & Caves: Part 2 is set to be released on all platforms, including Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows 10 and Windows 11. Updates will be made to the Java Edition for Windows, macOS and Linux.

Some updates will need to be delayed. Patch 1.19 will delay the arrival of The Warden. This terrifying, giant enemy is expected to guard the Underworld and discourage adventurers. Archeology, backpacks, and goat horns are delayed; no word yet on when they’ll reappear.

Meanwhile, Minecraft DungeonsCloudy Climb is a Seasonal Adventure that will be available to all members. Cloudy Climb, a free update, includes new progression, weekly challenges, as well as a procedurally generated tower. As players go through these dungeons, they’ll earn Adventure Points for seasonal rewards, like cute pets or flashy capes. The update is completely free but you will need to purchase an Adventure Pass in order to receive premium rewards for your progress. Cloudy Climb will be available on December 14.
