Minecraft RTS game coming soon to Xbox and PC

MinecraftMicrosoft announced on Sunday that a spinoff was in the works during its Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase. It’s called Minecraft Legends, and it’s expected out in 2023.

Minecraft, the 11-year-old sandbox blockbuster, will look a little different in the upcoming spinoff; it’s expected to be a strategy game — something more akin to StarCraftThe open-endedness of Minecraft’s mainline games. Minecraft Legends still looks like MinecraftThis will allow players to unite and build worlds via strategy gameplay.

Jeff Gerstmann (founder of Giant Bomb), who left the site last week, spoke first about the project. MinecraftRTS last week during Twitch’s livestream. Although the plotline and cutscenes of the game have not been completed, he said they are close to completion. The game will be released Sunday.

Microsoft also published one more Minecraft Since 2014, Mojang acquired the franchisee and Mojang developer. Minecraft DungeonsThe dungeon crawler based on Minecraft, was launched in 2020 and has been quite successful.
