Microsoft Is Bringing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate To 2022 Samsung TVs This Month

Microsoft announced last June it would integrate Xbox gaming on select televisions. However, it wasn’t clear when. We now know that it will begin later in the month. 

A new Xbox Wire blog posting revealed that the Xbox app will allow Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on 2022 Samsung Smart TVs to stream Xbox games direct from their TVs, with no need for any plug-in or dongle. It was announced in an Xbox Wire blogpost. This TV integration was rumored for months. 

In a blog post, Ashley McKissick writes that “Together Samsung and Xbox collaborated to bring Xbox Game Pass on millions of Samsung Galaxy smartphones around the globe, and now they are partnering again in order to bring their Xbox gaming experience to their 2022 smart TVs.” Ashley McKissick is the corporate vice president for gaming platforms. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Members can enjoy Xbox Games on 2022 Samsung Smart TVs. They have instant access to over 100 games including Xbox Game Studios titles the day after they are released. Fortnite is also available without the need for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, according to recent announcements. 

Microsoft claims it will first bring the Xbox app to Samsung Smart TVs, but plans to expand its TV partnership options.

• Log in to your Microsoft account and access the Xbox app via the Samsung Gaming Hub. Game Pass Ultimate Members have instant access to hundreds cloud-enabled Xbox and PC games. 
• Log in to the screen if subscribed. You will need to sign up first if you aren’t a subscriber. 
• You can connect a Bluetooth-enabled Bluetooth-enabled controller (such as the Xbox Wireless Controllers, Xbox Adaptive Controllers, Elite Series 2 Controllers, or DualSense Controller”) and you’re ready to play.
