Dornier Do Jwal, the Workhorse and Workhorse of Dornier, comes to Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Today, we are excited to announce that the Dornier Do J Wal, the third plane in our “Local Legends” series, is available now in Microsoft Flight Simulator. This series celebrates aviation’s past and is connected to World Update VIII: Spain Portugal Andorra Gibraltar. Dornier, a German aviation company, designed the aircraft.

The Wal (“Whale” in German) took its maiden flight on November 6, 1922 and was introduced in 1923. Costruzioni Meccaniche Aeronautiche, Pisa, Italy produced the first Wal. This was due to restrictions on aircraft production in Germany, imposed by The Treaty of Versailles. Dornier started building the Wal in Germany around 1931, but it was discontinued in 1936. It could carry up to 10 people with three crew members.
