The RiftbreakerThis game is greatly improving on the first one. Galatea 37 will be a world that is forever changing. There are new monsters you can kill, new buildings you can build to improve your base, and new technology to explore. There are two parts to this update – a free one, with an entirely new biome for you to discover in the Survival Mode, and a paid, new portion of the Story Campaign, taking place in that biome. Here are the details!
In the new chapter of the Story Campaign, you will get the chance to explore a previously undiscovered area of Galatea 37 – the Metallic Valley. The mysterious valley was the site of a terrible cataclysm that occurred long before you arrived on planet Earth. The Valley was forever altered by those events. Many of the living things you’ll encounter are made from organic matter fused to metal. It will take extensive research to find out what really happened there. Your journey will be full of dangers the likes of which you have not seen before, but the rewards will push your technology forward by a country mile… if you survive, that is. A new Story Campaign section adds many hours of gameplay and takes you on an assortment of missions.
A new Survival Mode map is included in the free update. This map is located in the new Metallic Valley biome. It will put you up against many metallic hybrids who will attempt to hinder your progress towards your goals. There are dozens of technologies that will make it easy to defeat your foes. The update includes a large rebalancing and quality-of-life fixes requested by the community. Access to new technologies will be available immediately. You can get loadouts that are specific to survival maps and you’ll also have the option to download blueprints directly from the Alien Research Tree without having to create a laboratory. These changes will make Survival Mode dynamic and allow you to be more flexible.

You play the role of captain Ashley S. Nowak – you are the Riftbreaker, an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful Mecha-Suit. To build up a base for future colonization and travel back to Earth, you must enter Galatea 37 through a single portal. Ashley’s Mecha-suit, which she calls “Mr. Riggs”, can withstand the harshest environment conditions and has a full range of equipment for base construction, resource extraction, gathering specimens and of course – combat. You can travel through vast distances between space and time using rifts.
CAMPAIGN
Explore Galatea 37 on an epic adventure. Your economy will be fueled by multiple permanent bases that you establish across the globe. You will also be able to research and fight alien lifeforms. You have a great deal of control over a procedurally created world that spans many hours. It is up to you to decide the order and technologies of your priorities. You’re the only human there, after all.
SURVIVAL
You have a mission: to survive for a certain amount of time while fighting against increasingly challenging waves of enemy animals. You can replay each mission almost indefinitely, as they are all randomly generated.
SANDBOX
If intense fight for survival is not your thing either, then try out the Sandbox mode, where we give you control over the entire game – including resources, enemy spawns, and weather conditions.
BASE BUILDING
You will need to create a two-way portal back to Earth. This complex design requires huge amounts energy and is very time-consuming. It will take more than simple solar collectors with a few tonnes of steel. To complete the mission, you will have to create a complicated chain of refineries, powerplants, mines, and research centers.
EXPLORATION
Galatea 37, an undiscovered planet located in the Sycorax Belt of the Milky Way galaxy is Galatea. The planet is habitable according to distant surveys. It could be colonized. It is home to many rare minerals and other substances, which can be found at various places around the world. There are many biomes that can be surprising you, with a wide variety of faunas and flora. In resource-rich areas, build local outposts that can transport the necessary resources with the help of rift technology.
CODE YOUR GAMES
The Riftbreaker™’s gameplay can be customized to fit your playstyle. There are many settings that you can adjust to change enemy attack frequency, their strength, numbers, resource abundance and enemy damage. Multiple difficulty settings are available to satisfy both the hardcore strategy player and those looking for a relaxed base building experience.
