Metal: Hellsinger Devs Announce Star-Studded Gamescom Concert

Funcom and The Outsiders announced that a concert will be held at Gamescom this year in Cologne, Germany, to commemorate the release of Metal: Hellsinger, their rhythmic metal shooting game. It is expected that the concert on August 25 will become the biggest ever at this massive gaming convention.

A number of vocalists who were featured in Metal: Hellsinger are available to sing songs taken from the soundtrack. Matt Heafy of Trivium, Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy, Mikael Stanne of Dark Tranquility, Dennis Lyxzén of Refused and INVSN, and James Dorton of Black Crown Initiate are all currently scheduled to take the stage. The concert will start at 7:05 p.m. Central European Summer Time (10 a.m. Pacific). Free and open to in-person attendance, the concert can be attended by thousands. Livestreaming will also allow for millions of people to participate. Details about this stream will follow. Each of the 200 first people who arrive at the venue for the concert will get a special Metal: Hellsinger bag.

On September 15, Metal: Hellsinger will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A demo version of the game is available for all three platforms. You can read my impressions here if you prefer.
