Melee, Magic, and Mayhem: Exploring Combat in Elex II

Fighting in Elex II can take on many forms — and you will need them all to defend Magalan from an enemy invasion that has left its inhabitants on the brink of extinction!

This is our goal Elex IIIt was important to develop an RPG and adventure-style game in the same vein as its predecessor. This would also allow for deep and complex combat. The player should feel satisfied with learning many fighting techniques and mastering multiple weapon types. When Jax calls on you to help him fight, we want you feel that you are equipped to do so.

This meant that the Piranha Bytes team had to be able to use melee, magic, and ranged combat options. You can use ranged combat weaponry to include guns, weapons, rockets and laser/plasma shooters. You will find the right weapon for any situation, regardless of whether it is aerial or ground combat. If you want to be close, Elex II’s melee arsenal is also vast. You can use clubs, swords and axes to smash your enemies. And don’t forget about magical or “psi” powers which allow the player to throw fire, ice and lightning at anyone standing against you.

With this, you can fight like an eagle. Elex II’s new aerial combat. Jax’s improved jet-pack can be upgraded during the game to allow him to hunt invaders in the air, hover above them and unleash havoc on them.
