Mayachin Shrine puzzle solution

Mayachin ShrineThis game is like a mixture of pinball with a bit of tee ball.

1. You can use the rotating platform as a bridge to get across the gap when you first arrive at Mayachin Shrine.

2. Ahead, you’ll see a switch and a crystal, and below, you’ll see a few construction parts, a couple targets, and a ramp. And there’s a giant ball rolling through the middle of it all. In the image below, we’ve labeled the stuff we’ll be using in the next steps to help clarify.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Mayachin Shrine, we see construction parts labeled for reference.

3. If you haven’t yet, stand on the switch to reveal a target on the left.

4. The actuator is the thing that sticks out from the ground right next to where you see the ball rolling.

5. Grab a stake and place it horizontally into the actuator’s face — we need to attach a pole to the actuator, but you can’t attach one directly.

6. Place a pole onto the end of the stake to create a bat-like structure — kind of like a pinball flipper.

7. The crystal switch is located at the top of the staircase.

8. Once the ball has touched the 2nd-to-last tile of white, it will hit the crystal.

9. Practice hitting the crystal and adjust your timing until the ball hits the target — which will reveal a target on the right side of the room and open the shrine’s exit on your lef.

10. Turn to your right as you descend the steps to discover a panel hanging and a stake in ground.

11. Take the stake and turn it around. It should be placed in the ceiling, above the hanging panel.

12. Grab the hanging panel and rotate it so it’s laying flat. Fix the hanging panel on the stake in order to keep it out of the path of the target buttons behind it.

13. The switch is located at the top, near the crystal.

14. When you hit the crystal, the bat will point at Link.

15. When the ball rolls past the bat assembly, get to the edge of your platform and then strike the crystal.

16. Practice your timing and keep trying until you hit the target on the right — opening a gate to your right.

17. To find the aforementioned, enter the newly-opened room to your right. With an energizing elixir.

18. Take the stairs to exit. Light of Blessing.

Correction for May 13: In an earlier version, the guide listed all of the steps in a confusing sequence. We’ve edited the guide to make it easier to read.
