Marvel’s Werewofl by Night Halloween special for Disney Plus revealed

Marvel Studios celebrates Halloween with an exciting new special for Disney Plus. You Werewolf at Night. The special will focus on the Marvel Comics character Werewolf by Night, who is a literal werewolf, and will star Gael García Bernal in the titular role.

At D23, Marvel Studios gave fans their first look at the “special presentation” dropping on Disney Plus this October. First trailer of the “special presentation” You Werewolf at NightThe special is presented in black and white and exudes grindhouse film vibes. This special is based on a hunt with the werewolf hidden among supernatural hunters.

Michael Giacchino will direct this special, although he is more well-known for his musical compositions than his artistic talents as a director. Joining García Bernal in the Disney Plus Halloween special is actor Laura Donnelly (Nevers, Outlander(Reportedly, she will be playing the role of Elsa Bloodstone, a monster hunter.

You Werewolf at Night will also bring another longtime supernatural Marvel Comics character to the MCU: Man-Thing, the part-man, part-plant swamp monster who debuted in Marvel’s Savage Tales#1 in 1971

García Bernal will seemingly play the original version of the character Werewolf by Night, who was named — no giggling, please — Jack Russell. Russell, a transylvanian ancestor and descendant of Lycanthropy affected ancestors, is depicted in the Marvel comics. But the phrase “Werewolf by Night” greatly predates the character of the same name; Marvel Comics predecessor Atlas Comics published a short story by that name in the pages of Marvel Tales in 1953.
