Marvel’s Midnight Suns: PS4 And Xbox One Versions Out Next Week, Switch Release Canceled

Firaxis Games announced the release dates for its Marvel’s Midnight Suns 2022 strategy game on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, along with the news that the Switch version is no longer planned.

Midnight Suns will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in December 2022. The PS4, Xbox One and Switch versions are planned to follow at a future date. Today, Firaxis announced that the PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch next week on May 11, which is the same day the game’s fourth and final DLC – Blood Storm, which introduces Storm as a playable hero – releases.

Firaxis hasn’t said anything about why it’s canceled the Switch port, other than to say, “Note: A Nintendo Switch release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns no longer is planned.” Jake Solomon (the director of Firaxis’ modern XCOM titles) left the studio earlier in the year.

PS4 and Xbox One players that purchase the Legendary Edition of Midnight Suns or the game’s Season Pass will get the new Blood Storm DLC as well as all previously released DLC, which alongside Storm adds Deadpool, Morbius, and Venom to the game.
