Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy PC Download Is A Whopping 150GB

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will drop at the end of the month. There have been a lot of launch trailers and stories that has kept the excitement high. Recently, the Steam page for this game was updated with information about system requirements. According to storage notes, Guardians will embark on a galactic adventure title that is set to run at 150GB.

To put that into perspective, Microsoft Flight Simulator – a game that maps/renders the entire world with stellar precision – is 127GB on PC. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy rivals Warzone which is 175GB. Given the size of both these games on consoles it is safe to say that GOTG too will be huge on those platforms. We hope that loading times aren’t too slow! This may be indicative of the many worlds we’ll explore.

Star-Lord, his alien band and other oddities will be on a space adventure. They are trying to establish a name and money by forging alliances/burning links with characters such as Cosmo the Spacedog or Lady Hellbender. Adam Warlock may also join the fray. It remains to be determined if he will emerge as a friend or foe. Around the time of our Marvel’s GOTG cover reveal, creative director Jean-François Dugas told us, “[The Guardians are]Hire legitimate heroes, but they become more and more difficult to find. [the main threat of the game]They will need to be more than just a marketing tactic to save the galaxy’s demise.

Eidos-MontréalThe upcoming expedition into outer space will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on October 26, 2012.

Are you optimistic that the size of downloads will be reduced, or do you expect a massive download on launch day? Is there a reason for this game’s enormous storage requirement? Comment below to share your ideas!
