Mario Kart Live And Knockout City Studio Announces Hot Wheels: Rift Rally

Velan Studios has unveiled Hot Wheels: Rift Rally, the new game from Velan Studios. A collaboration was made with Mattel to create this mixed-reality racing title. This builds on past experiences.

Hot Wheels: Rift Rally, much like Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit has a physical remote control car and course-creation elements. This allows players to create their tracks inside their homes, race with the device’s camera, or design them from scratch. Hot Wheels: Rift Rally allows for digital transformations of the Chameleon RC car, which can transform digitally into 140 vehicle variants, including famous Hot Wheels models like Twin Mill, Bone Shaker and Mach Speeder. Rift Rally includes many new licensed and original vehicles.

Hot Wheels: Rift Rally allows players to enjoy mixed-reality racing through two different modes. Campaign mode allows players to set up their Rift Gates however they like and can explore various challenge maps that have different objectives for each race. In Stunt mode players have the option to drive the Chameleon RRC car on a track without any gates. The objective is to chain together drifts and wheelies in order for high scores.

Two bundles are available for Hot Wheels Rift Rally players looking to get in on the fun. Standard Edition costs $130. It includes the Chameleon RRC car and four Rift Gates that can be used to build track. The Collector’s Edition costs $150 and includes the Chameleon RC car with black deco and gold accents, plus a limited-edition McLaren Senna Hot Wheels die-cast car in a display case. The news comes just a week following Velan Studios’ announcement of the closing of Knockout City (a dodgeball-based arcade shooter), Hot Wheels Rift Rally is coming to PlayStation 5 PlayStation 4 and iOS March 14.
