Mario Kart 8 Switch DLC wave 3 adds a great Rainbow Road, Maple Treeway

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s third wave of add-on courses is coming to the Switch game on Dec. 7, Nintendo announced Monday, and will include fan favorites like the autumnal, Wiggler-filled Maple Treeway from Mario Kart WiiIt is arguably the most beautiful Rainbow Road course, and it comes from Mario Kart 7Nintendo 3DS. Merry Mountain, taken from the mobile game Mario Kart TourSwitch owners can look forward to some festive, wintry Christmas fun.

Wave 3 of the Booster course Pass Mario Kart 8 Deluxe represents the halfway point for Nintendo’s planned DLC. 24 courses from the DLC package, which includes 48 of them, will still be available when the third pack is released. Here’s what’s included in the next batch:

Addition of Mario Kart 7’s Rainbow Road means Mario Kart 8 Deluxe players will have four versions of the track to race on — the others hail from the Wii U game, the original Super NES game, and the Nintendo 64 Rainbow Road.

Previous wave Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Booster Course Pass DLC was released in August. Wave 1 of Booster Course Pass DLC was released in March. It included eight remastered courses: Wii Coconut Mall and N64 Choco Mountain; 3DS Toad Circuit and DS Shroom Ridge; and GBA Sky Garden plus Ninja Hideaway and Paris Promenade. Mario Kart Tour. You can purchase the Nintendo eShop Booster Course Pass for $24.99 at a cost of $24.99. This pass is also included in Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which retails for $49.99 per year (for an individual) or $79.99 for a family plan.
