Marauders Takes High-Stakes Looter Shooters Into Space

Small Impact Games has announced Marauders as a new first person shooter. This game was developed in collaboration with Team17.

The story takes place in an alternate 1990s world where The Great War did not end. Humanity has fled into space and many are forced to find space stations to sustain themselves. It is retro-futuristic and offers an alternative to a futuristic high-tech, clean-space fantasy. Star Trek. Players will raid cosmic vessels solo or with up to three other allies for loot, such as new guns and gear, and hopefully, make it out alive in the end. If successful, you’ll likely have all kinds of new weapons and tools to bring into upcoming matches and experience gains to boot. For extra cash, you could hock most of the money.

If other players are raiding the same area, they can ruin the run and take your team out in the midst of any possible firefights. They could even hop onboard your ship to take it over as theirs. Starships can be individually customized and upgraded, allowing players to escape safe and sound after gathering precious space plunder while also adding dogfighting opportunities to the match. Losing your means of escape, let alone one you’ve spent time beefing up between missions will be something you’ll want to avoid.

While the release date for this title is not yet known, it is believed that a preorder period will open and will allow early access to those in good standing. Small Impact Games’ intergalactic looter shooter Marauders will be coming to PC via Steam and will also be available as part of Xbox Game Preview through PC Game Pass.
