EA Sports’ latest signature NFL simulation game, Madden NFL 23, officially launches on Friday, Aug. 19 — the first Madden Football Friday in five years — with a two-edition tribute to the series’ namesake, John Madden, who died in December.

EA Play subscribers, and all those who ordered the All-Madden Edition before Tuesday are already eligible to play the game. A three-day preview begins on Tuesday. What else are football fans entitled to from the special edition and pre-order incentive? But what if you only want the regular edition?

Madden NFL 23 pre-order bonus

Pre-order Bonus Madden NFL 23 is a set of virtual goods for use in the game’s Ultimate Team mode. From a variety of choices, players can choose from two Elite-level Ultimate Team members, one for offense, and one for defense. They also get the All-Madden Gear set for their players, and a “Madden Strategy Item” to aid the team.

Pre-orders made through Best Buy will receive a $15 Best Buy gift certificate.

Madden NFL 23 All-Madden Edition

This digital-only offer is $99.99 Madden NFL 23 All-Madden Edition includes additional content for players to quickly build their Ultimate Teams. The All-Madden Edition also gives Xbox and PlayStation owners access to the latest and last-gen versions.

All-Madden Edition customers get the pre-order bonus content (the choice of two Elite players, All-Madden gear, and “strategy item”) regardless of whether they pre-order this edition. This edition’s pre-order bonus is essentially a three-day preview. Pre-orders for All-Madden Edition were eligible for an incentive that ended July 22. All-Madden Edition Owners Get 4,600 Madden points, a premium virtual currency which can be used for MUT Coins.
