Lord of the Rings TTRPG The One Ring’s second edition is out now

Francesco Nepitello, Marco Maggi and Marco Maggi have created the tabletop role-playing game The One Ring. It is now in its second edition. Free League published the announcement on Thursday. They had already received nearly $2million in crowdfunding donations through February.

One Ring SetThis PDF includes a rulebook of 24 pages, 52-page lorebook on the Shire and 31-page adventure. The price is $19.99, which includes character sheets and maps as well as various player aids.

It Starter Set here is notable in that it places players into the 70-year period of time between Bilbo Baggins’ adventure in The HobbitThese are the Lord of the Rings stories. Players don’t create their own characters, but instead take on the roles of notable characters from the lore, such as Bilbo’s father Drogo Baggins, Rory Brandybuck, and Esmerelda Took. The physical edition of the Starter SetPre-orders are also possible
