Link Your PlayStation Account To Discord Starting Today
Announced back in May of last year, Sony and Discord formed a partnership to bring the PlayStation and Discord ecosystems together. We are finally starting to see progress in Discord integration on Sony’s consoles.
Today, your PlayStation account can be linked to your DiscordID. This lets your friends or other server mutuals see when and what you’re playing on PS5 or PS4. It works just like all other service, like Steam, Blizzards, Xbox, Spotify and Spotify. You can also use the same setup.
This is how Discord tells you to connect your PlayStation account.
“To connect your Discord account to your PlayStation Network account, open up Discord and head into User Settings > Connections on either desktop or web. On mobile, go to User Settings > Connections.” You’ll then need to enter your PlayStation login information. Easy. It also notes that you can toggle whether anyone can see your PlayStation status in case you need to keep something hidden for whatever reason.

PlayStation functionality is available on all platforms Discord supports, so you can give it a try if your console has this feature. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any update to the broader integration of the two, but this small step is a good start for now.
The acquisition by Bungie of Destiny 2 developer Bungie is another Sony news. Find out more about this big acquisition and what the future holds for Destiny.
