Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name Announced, Follows Kiryu’s Life After Yakuza 6

RGG Studio today announced Yakuza 8 as Like A Dragon 8. The trailer also revealed that Kazuma Kiryu, the former protagonist of the series, is now back with Yakuza: Like A Dragon protagonist Ichiban Kasuga. Now, RGG has announced Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, a new Yakuza game that will follow Kiryu’s life following the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life leading up to Like A Dragon 8.

The trailer shows Kiryu in a monastery. It was shown today at the RGG Summit 2022. Kiryu has now changed his name and left behind his Yakuza past. He is now living the monk’s life. However, he’s seemingly pulled into one more job – an escort mission – and if today’s Like A Dragon 8 trailer is any indication, it seems this final job pulls him back into the life he had put behind him.

You can see it in action below.:

Long-term Yakuza fanatics will be delighted to see The Man Who Eradised His Name. This is a must-see for those who are looking forward to Like A Dragon 8, which takes place in 2024. You can get The Man Who Erased his Name on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It also hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2023.
