Lego Super Mario 2023 sets go deep, but not Lego Waluigi deep

Lego Group has released seven Mario-themed Lego sets in the lead up to the New Year. The previous releases featured buildable models of key characters such as Mario and Bowser. But, 2023 Lego Mario sets included lesser-known villains like Fliprus, Wendy, Wendy the Koopaling and Mario penguins.

According to listings on Lego’s site, the sets are available for purchase now with prices ranging from $5.99 to $64.99, depending on the size of the set.

This is the sixth line of Mario Legos, so we’re getting some pretty deep cuts this time around. You will find characters such as Birdo, Blooper and Hammer Bro in the 2023 character pack. Fliprus Snow Adventure Expansion Set lets you build a winter wonderland. The set also includes a smaller known enemy who looks like an adorable pink walrus. But no such luck for Waluigi, who isn’t featured in these Lego sets (sad Wah).

Lego isn’t the only way fans can appreciate an eclectic collection of Mario characters in 2023. This spring, fans of the plumber will get to see him as a star in a movie. Illumination and Nintendo are both releasing a new movie. It Super Mario Bros. Movie The film will be released on April 7, 2023. A remarkable ensemble cast will play the roles of characters from Nintendo such as Mario, Peach and Bowser. Super Nintendo World will open at Universal Studios Hollywood in February 2023.
