Legends of Runeterra’s new expansion is the start of a deadly saga

League of LegendsThe lore of Darkin, and all its games, is rich. Latest Legends of Runeterra expansion introduces several new Darkin, some of which we’ve never heard of before, and some of which have only briefly appeared in short stories or other lore. This expansion brings us the new champions Kayn, Rhaast and Jax as well as Ornn, Master Yi and Ornn. Legends of Runeterra’s first exclusive champion, Norra.

The expansion is called The Darkin Saga – Awakening. Once the Ascended of Shurima’s empire, the Darkin were animal-human God/Warrior hybrids that served the Hawk Emperor Azir. The empire’s battles eventually drove them to madness, and they fell to infighting, civil war, and blood magic. It was only possible for the powers of the universe to secure the Darkin in weapons. They would remain there until someone unwittingly grabbed them. In which case, the Darkin could use them.

Players can also explore the Path of Champions, which offers new champions and followers as well as equipment cards. Awakening offers new PvE campaigns, including Jax and Kayn, Ornns, Master Yis, Veigar Leona Diana, Veigar and Veigar. You can also choose from one of the three weekly challenges. Each challenge has its own difficulty setting and random generated modifiers. Extra awards can be earned by players who run through the Starlight Portal (Shade Portal), or Dark Star Portal at least once per week.
