League of Legends rhythm game coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, & Netflix

League of Legends has expanded to include a rhythm platformer. Riot Games announced a partnership with Choice Provisions (the developer of Bit.Trip), Hextech Mayhem: A League of LegendsStory on Tuesday, which is coming to Nintendo Switch and Windows PC on Nov. 16, with a version coming to Netflix’s mobile games service “soon.”

Hextech Mayhem – A League of Legends Story stars Ziggs, the League champion known for his “Hexplosives” expertise. Bomb-jump to attack their enemies, while avoiding any obstacles (and League champion Heimerdinger), and chaining explosions to a beatic soundtrack. The debut trailer shows Ziggs as a rhythm-runner. Choice Provisions’ take on the League of Legends universe is part of Riot Games’ effort to bring outside developers into the League intellectual property. Riot Forge also published other games as part of this effort. These include a role-playing game The Story of Ruined Kings: A League of Legends StoryAirship Syndicate. Riot intends to present the Riot Forge range during a video presentation at 8 am PST on Tuesday, 16 November.
