Latest Nintendo Switch Update Lets You Organize Your Games Into Groups

Nintendo Switch’s latest update allows players to organize their games in groups. This applies to all Switch models. This new functionality is similar to that of the Xbox groups feature.

You can find more details, as well as images, by clicking here Here are the basic rules to creating software groups in Switch. The update now accounts for large amounts of possible groups, which you’ll be pleased to learn.

  • If more than 12 titles of software are stored on your Nintendo Switch, the All Software menu or groups will not be available.
  • With a maximum of 200 titles per group, up to 100 can be made.
  • Multiple groups can have the same software title.

Here’s an overview of the steps involved in making any type of group you choose:

  1. Check that your Nintendo Switch has been upgraded to Version 14.0.0.
  2. Scroll to the right from the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu and choose All Software.
  3. To view software in groups, press the L Button.
  4. The first time you create a group, you’ll get a popup where you can select Create New Group.
  5. Once the first group is created, click on the +ButtonCreate a new group
  6. Click on the software title you wish to add to this group and then click “Check All Software Titles” Next.
  7. After rearranging the software titles, press Next.
  8. Press the button to enter a group name. OK.
  9. This new group will be added as a Group to the existing list.

This is it. You can now organize your games according to franchise or genre. Future Switch updates may offer even more customizable options. For me, dynamic themes are a possibility. The future of Nintendo’s player base will only be revealed with time.
