Latest Elden Ring Patch Adjusts Sorcery, Incantation, And Weapon Skill Balancing

Elden Ring doesn’t mind receiving post-launch updates. The world is filled with magic and weapons, which has led to many new and exciting (and powerful) options for players.arguably, too powerful) abilities to slay the open-world adventure’s Great Enemies. As with the previous patches, this latest Elden Ring version 1.04 focuses on stabilizing, balancing, and using weapon skills, as well as incantations and sorceries.

According to the official Bandai Namco notes, the major changes included in 1.04 prioritize adding an option to turn camera auto rotate off and event phases for everyone’s favorite swindler, Patches. There are also some significant gameplay tweaks like an increased attack speed/lowered recover time for Colossal weapons and slightly increased FP and Stamina growth rate at lower levels – the latter might come in handy for Wretch-loving masochists. Other adjustments include but aren’t limited to:

  • Colossal Swords/Colossal Weapons have been given an increase in the 2-handed attack damage. Jump attack is not included.
  • Physical block rate, guard boost, and increased physical block rates of the Colossal Sword and Colossal Weapons and Great Sword and Great Hammer and Great Axe and Great Spear weapon classes.
  • Grafted Blade Greatsword has suffered an increase in damage
  • Increased the damage of Devourer’s Scepter.
  • Reduced scaling of the status effects buildup by spells, incantations and Albinauric Staff.
  • For weapons with high block rates, Greatshield Talisman has a decreased effect.

These are some Sorcery and Incantation buffs and nerfs:
