Kyokugon Shrine solution in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Kyokugon Shrine Location

Kyokugon Shrine can be found in the heart of Tokyo. Great Plateau Foothill Cave (-0833, -1489, 0027)The Kyokugon Shrine is located in the Hyrule Field area. Kyokugon Shrine is at exact coordinates. (-0710, -1550, 0006).

To reach the shrine, you’ll need to first enter the Great Plateau Foothill Cave, which is blocked off by rock walls. You’ll need numerous hammers or Yunobo’s sage ability to break your way through the rocks; there are two rock walls and they’re very thick. Two Horriblins are hidden behind the rock wall. Prepare to take them out from above! After you defeat the two Horriblins, you’ll see two rock walls: a blue one on your right and a black one down the slope. For now, ignore the blue rock walls and proceed down the slope to the black wall. The Kyokugon Shrine is inside the opening created by breaking the rock.

The Kyokugon Shrine puts your brain to work to solve a “ball riddle” to complete the shrine.

1. Continue up the staircase and proceed to the end of the pathway to discover 10 bowls switches dispersed around the room on pedestals in a pattern that is symmetrical. We’ve associated each bowl switch with a number as shown in the image above to assist with the steps later on.

2. Four green circles can be found on your ceiling.

3. Place a ball in each of the bowl switches that have a green circle above them — bowl switches 2, 4, 6, and 8.

4. Continue through the open gate to find the shrine’s exit, but don’t interact with it just yet! Inside this room, you’ll find the You can throw a soccer ball on your right.

5. On the left, look to the ceiling for another green circle.

6. Ultrahand can be used to search for a missing tile below the circular green ceiling.

7. To find the bowl switch, pry the tile loose from the ground.

8. To open the door, place the ball on the switch from the left side of the room.

9. Opening the chest will allow you to get a The hearty elixir.

10. Get a reward for completing the shrine The Light of Blessing.
