KC Green’s This is Fine meme joins Fortnite as a battle pass emote

This is Fine, for those who are unfamiliar with the meme, was first created by cartoonist KC Green in his Gunshow. On Fire depicts a curious dog sipping coffee amid flames, smoke and ash. “This is fine,” he says — the joke being, of course, that no it’s not. The mood is definitely a good one.

To unlock this emote players must pay 1,000 V Bucks and be at level 26 of the Battle Pass. It’s funny to me that Geralt or Master Chief might enjoy some coffee and relax while they watch the game. FortniteIt is entertaining to watch the matchs that rage in their vicinity.

The dog — whose name is Question Hound — has been ubiquitous across the Internet in the decade since the original strip was released, so it’s nice to see a nod to it in Fortnite. More importantly, it’s a nod that benefits the original creator. As Green notes in his tweet, “I was paid for this usage.”
