Jump Force, the Shonen Jump crossover fighting game, is shutting down

Bandai Namco pulling Jump ForceThis is the cross-over anime fighting game featuring characters from Dragon Ball Naruto One Piece JoJo’s Bizarre AdventureAvailable in digital stores starting February 7, 2022.

The publisher posted a Wednesday announcement warning that online services could be dangerous. Jump ForceNext year will see the end of multiplayer lobbies, and all other internet-dependent functions. Bandai Namco said that players will be able to use the game’s offline modes after that date.

Jump Force’s closure affects the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One versions of the game.

Bandai Namco was originally published Jump ForceThe Xbox One version is available for purchase on February 19, 2019, and Windows PCs, Xbox One in February 2019. A Nintendo Switch version is expected to arrive in August 2020. Spike Chunsoft created the software. Jump Forcegathered characters from Weekly Shonen Jump magazine to fight in team-based battles. A total of 40 fighters were available to play, plus 14 additional through DLC. Jump ForceFans and critics received mixed reactions to the game. Polygon’s review criticized the game’s fighting system — we called it “boring” — and said that it lacked the color, life, and creativity of its manga source material.
