Jujutsu Kaisen 0 review: Gory, action-packed, and a strong anime prequel
The first day it was opened, Dec. 24, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Over 1,000,000 tickets were sold and more than 1 billion won. The prequel to popular anime series, “The Prequel” was sold over 1 million tickets and earned more than 1 billion yen. Jujutsu Kaisen, The film, based on Gege Akutami’s manga, more than tripled its box-office, breaking the records Demon Slayer Give film a chance. This wasn’t a Christmas miracle. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 This series succeeds by telling an engaging story that is both connected to and enhanced the main series as well as welcoming new viewers to the franchise.
In a world in which humans can emit Cursed Energy to create the eldritch creatures called Curses/Cursed Spirits from their bodies, Jujutsu Kaisen This anime is about Yuji Itadori who, as a high-schooler, becomes one of the strongest Curses known. Following this, a group of Jujutsu Sorcerers — people who can control their Cursed Energy to fight evil spirits — enroll Yuji in the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School to help him control his power while keeping an eye on him. That’s the barebones summary of the anime series that aired from October 2020 to March 2021 … and the basic synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
Prequel tells Yuta Okkotsu’s story. Yuta is a high school student who takes control of a powerful Cursed Spirit. Yuta then enrolls at the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to assist him with his control and stay on top of him. Yuta is a very different person than Yuji. Yuta started out timid and gloomy as a child and Yuji was a highly energetic extrovert who has the strength and endurance to rival Batman. The TV series has many similarities, however. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 can’t be overlooked. It’s almost like the movie is both a prequel and a remake. A premake? Requel? What’s the sequel?

There’s plenty to enjoy for longtime fans. Yuta OKkotsu isn’t a brand new character. He has been referenced in the series several times, but never appeared until this episode. And he’s given a beautifully tragic backstory, since it turns out that the powerful Curse that latched on to Yuta is his childhood love, Rika. The gentle, caring girl was killed in traffic accidents and her body transformed into an ugly, snake-haired fang-faced monster. Yuta talks to Rika, the cursed Rika. in a child’s voice It is amazing to see how she feels about him and kills bullies without seeming guilty. The combination of her terrifying appearance with her innocent, yet sometimes capricious, child-like personality makes it one of my favorite memories. Jujutsu Kaisen Never cursed spirits.
Suguru Geto who is a regular presence in this movie gets more screen time. Jujutsu KaisenAlthough he is often in the backseat of Big Bad Mahito, In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, However, Geto takes center stage and he eats up the entire scene with great gusto. Geto is a hilarious antagonist, with an almost life-size personality. You can really see why Curses and other sorcerers would gravitate towards him, and how his happy-go-lucky attitude while trying to commit atrocities would infuriate the film’s main characters.
Yuta and he engage in an intense fight. With the camera movement trying to replicate the feeling of a regular-sized character moving with lightning speed against Geto’s gigantic Curses — including a Blob kaiju made up of fat demon babies — the battle is additionally enhanced by Yuta’s sudden rage, adding a whole other layer to the experience. But that’s to be expected from fight scenes overseen by director Sunghoo Park, whom you might remember from God is High School The amazing anime battles. It’s more than enough to keep Jujutsu-Heads will be satisfied throughout the film’s 105 minute run.

Newcomers can still benefit from the best. Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Prequels are basically the essence. Jujutsu Kaisen trimmed down to its most accessible elements, which isn’t surprising given that the movie is based on a manga that actually precedes the Jujutsu Kaisen comic. Published for the first time in Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical SchoolJump GIGA 2017 Issue. This standalone series on Curses and Jujutsu Sorcerers, was supposed to end after only four chapters. However, it quickly gained popularity and Gege Akutami was able to expand the premise of the series and create the world that he had only hints at in his original comic. This led eventually to the creation Yuji Itadori’s story which took the entire world by storm.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 It is simple and focuses primarily on Yuta and his teacher Satoru Geto. Suguru Geto and second-year students at the Tokyo Jujutsu High School, which fans are familiar with from the television series, include Toge Inumaki and Panda. Most get an adequate explanation, which allows complete novices to follow along the story. This may encourage them to take a deeper dive into anime. These are the basics for anyone less experienced. Jujutsu Kaisen concerns itself with Yuji trying to give people a “proper death.” To first determine what a proper death is, though, the anime spends a lot of time figuring out what a proper The meaning of life means. Through the characters of Kento Nanami, the show explores the value of helping others over money, while Maki’s arc is the story of going against the flow and the comfort of being part of a group/family and doing your own thing. Even the cursed wombs from the last episode of the TV series explore the “proper” way to live as the characters are actually touching examples of the importance of family.
There are traces of this theme in the movie; one can interpret Yuta’s arc as a lesson about letting go and moving on. While his choices regarding Rika are heartwarming, the anime series digs deeper into its philosophical themes. That’s alright, though, because by keeping things simple, the movie makes you want more,Gently introducing new viewers to the television show. And any media that manages to introduce more people to a show that’s redefining shōnen anime is definitely doing something right.
So whether you’ve been following Jujutsu Kaisen Whether you have been hearing it for many years, or just now, read this article. Jujutsu Kaisen 0If you have the opportunity. It’s the kind of rare movie that actually has something (awesome) for everyone.
