JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R launches in September, available to pre-order now

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle RThe upcoming 3D fighting game is being remastered. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star BattleThe game, ‘, will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 2. Steam will be able to bring the game to Windows PC on September 1.

Bandai Namco released a brand new trailer celebrating the announcement of the game’s release. It features iconic battles and scenes from manga and anime that are recreated in the videogame.

While the original game, which launched on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, featured just over 40 characters from Hirohiko Araki’s long-supernatural manga series, this updated re-release has expanded the roster to over 50 characters. Four of these new characters are highlighted in the trailer: Robert E. O Speedwagon, the new bowler hat-wielding Robert E. O Speedwagon; Mariah (stardust crusaders) arc enemy Stand user; Pet Shop (stardust crusaders) arc horse jockey Diego Brando (steel ball run arc).

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R will also feature many of the voice actors from David Productions’ ongoing anime adaptation, as well as revised color palettes and designs for characters, updated to more closely resemble their anime appearances.

Players can pre-order the game for all platforms (except for Nintendo Switch digitally) via the game’s official website. Information regarding digital pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch will be available at a later time. All pre-orders will receive a bonus Green Dolphin Street State Prison Jacket costume for Jolyne Cujoh, Jotaro Kujo’s estranged daughter and the protagonist of the Stone Ocean manga arc.

This is the most recent season JoJo’s Bizarre AdventureThe anime series premiered last year on Netflix and was included in our top 20 anime lists for 2020. With 12 episodes, the season will return in 2018!
