It’s time to embrace your inner chaotic possum in this short and sweet arcade experience. You can play this game with or without a partner. It’s a cute mix of mischief and good-natured fun. Eat everything from a massive wheel of cheese to a whole cake in one gulp as you make your way to the top of the village, eat the massive pizza, and steal the crown from the dog leader’s head.

The Short and Sweet Bushes, Packed with Treats

Pizza Possum isn’t a particularly complicated game, and you will notice this quickly as you are tossed head-first into this vibrant village filled with goodies and treats. You can use your golden key for unlocking the gates that block your way as your key meter begins to fill. The gates can be found all over the island. Fill your key meter to make it easier for you to escape if you are being chased.

There are also bushes, caves that have a P over their entrances in the whole village. The bushes will allow you to avoid being caught and progress. If you are caught, checkpoints can be found in the caves (or more specifically, possum boroughs). You can plant the flag in any district. If you don’t, it’s back to the beginning for you.

The right items can make all the difference

It is possible that you may be caught on an island. Your key meter will be your score and if you get enough points, you may even get a new item. They can be a huge help when you are navigating through the village, as they will allow you to avoid guards more easily.

Three categories are used to classify the items. The items themselves are divided into three categories. Energy drinks and dog bones are examples of active usable items. The amount you can stack your active item increases if, by chance, the same item is found in one of the floating containers scattered throughout the village. The second is passive stacked items that increase your possum’s stats, like coffee for added speed or mints to make sure your bloated form doesn’t last as long. Lastly, you have wearable passive items which can give you different kinds of boosts, like the chef’s hat that lets you get more points from consuming food.

These items are available in the floating containers scattered across the districts. However, you may only use one of these at a time. If you choose to pick up the item, it will drop your previous tool.

You can steal the crown by climbing your high score and stealing it.

The main objective of the possum’s travels throughout the village is to get to the top of the island, eat the gigantic pizza and through that act get the dog leader’s crown. The leader, Bella Chonki, is very persistent. To get to the Tasty End, you must run to her, steal her crown, eat the pizza, and do this three times. The dog guards are going to take back all the crowns you stole if they catch you on your second run or your third.

Other things that you can do include challenging your old high scores to see how much you can improve. Explore the village to find the many collectible Zeppoles that are scattered around the island. Maybe you want to just eat every single meal in all of the districts. It’s your choice.

Couch Co-op Mischief

It’s easy to play Pizza PossumEither alone or in conjunction with a partner who can assume the role of a fellow Racoon. You and your couch friend can work together to avoid the guards, and you may even be able to help one another if you get caught. You can easily get the guard to let go of their hostage by simply running up to them and giving them a good head-bang. Just make sure you don’t both get caught or it’ll be back to the last activated checkpoint.
