Ishtar Backflips into Smite Along with an Exciting New Odyssey Event

Update on Love and War: The Battleground of the Gods welcomes the Babylonian Goddess Ishtar (the oldest of all Deities), to the Love and War update

Ishtar is Smite’s newest hunter – crashing onto the battleground with a grand flourish of lightning arrows. These will be used in conjunction with her other amazing abilities, including her first ability, Imbue Arrows. This entirely unique ability gives her one of three different kinds of shots – a short-range volley of arrows, a mid-range explosive, and a long-range snipe. With this arsenal, you’ll never miss your target no matter how fast they flee. Rolling Thunder is her third ability. It unleashes a torrent of lightning which damages foolish Gods and mesmerizes them. Ishtar’s ultimate: Blades of Retribution, is War in its purest form. You can unleash a flurry golden blades that will make you CC immune and resist damage, while also crippling your enemies. Ishtar is able to summon the blades again, dealing more damage, once these have been fully unlocked. Ishtar is a powerful force to reckon with, thanks to her new powers and the deadly lightning. Is it possible that the gods will welcome Ishtar too? This remains to be determined. It is evident that Ishtar might be happy to see Gilgamesh once again, if only for the sake of executing a glorious revenge for his betrayal.

That’s not all: The Odyssey, Smite’s The biggest event of this year has been returned.  The Crow of Torment Hades is the new Tier 5 skin. This Tier 5 skin adds a great new feature to its lineup. The two forms are unique and have their own animations. Additionally, the persistent effect changes the Battleground sky. You will find hungry crows roaming around the map, and darkened skies.

Crow of Torment Hades is available immediately by purchasing the Buy All option of Soaring Islands Odyssey Event. This will give you immediate access to Tier 5 and several skins, such as Cthuwu Cthulu or Searing Seductress So.  Or, you could purchase bundles that earn Odyssey points to help you progress through this event. You can get some skins from Odyssey: Soaring Skies, as well as many cosmetic products and lots of Odyssey Points by purchasing bundles. These points can be earned by finishing Quests or Quest Voyages in the Soaring Islands Odyssey map! You will be able to unlock new territories as well as access to more quests as you accumulate more points.
