Inside Out sequel introduces new emotions

In Pixar’s Inside OutThe emotions of emotions (or rather the emotions themselves were given personalities and anthropomorphized) had feelings. In Inside Out 2, those big five emotions are back — except, wait? What’s this? There’s More information about the product?

In fact, the emotions of Joy, Fear, Disgust and Anger do not encompass all the feelings that a person can experience. Riley, our human friend inhabited by the emotions from the first film, turns 13 and a demolition team comes in to upgrade the console. Joy and her friends meet Anxiety after the noise has died down. This orange muppet gremlin represents the complex teenage years.

Voiced by Maya Hawke, Anxiety does let slip that there are others joining the emotions, but the brief teaser doesn’t show all of them yet. Guess we’ll have to see what other big teen emotions Riley deals with.

Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black return as Joy. Tony Hale (replacing Bill Hader as Fear) and Liza Lapira (replacing Mindy Kalynn as Disgust) are new additions to the cast.

Inside Out 2,The movie will be released in theaters by summer 2024.
