Inscryption is coming to PlayStation in August

For those waiting to play 2021’s best game on PlayStation, wait no longer. It’s not too late. Devolver Digital’s EncryptionPlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions will be available on August 30, You can pre-order yours now.

An earlier announcement about the PlayStation port included some bonuses specific to consoles. You can hear your friend’s voice through the DualShock 4 speaker or DualSense controller. In conjunction with your gameplay, controllers also will glow. A controller for the PlayStation 5 will give haptic feedback.

Encryption is a deck-builder, rogue-like, escape-room puzzle, and psychological horror game that messes with player’s expectations. The game was launched on Windows PC last year. Polygon’s staff voted it as our game of the year in 2021, with reviews editor Mike Mahardy saying, “when Encryption is at its best, and its genre-blending systems are feeding into its narrative, and its deck-building mechanics are telling a story the likes of which can only be told through interactivity, there’s nothing else like it.”
