Immortals of Aveum is delayed until August
Immortals from Aveum The launch date has been postponed. Ascendant Studios’ debut game, described as “Call of Duty, with magic,” will now launch on Aug. 22 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
It’s a surprise delay given that Immortals from AveumElectronic Arts’ game, released on 8 June, was the focus of Summer Game Fest. A trailer had been shown at PlayStation Showcase, on 24 May. Originally, the game’s release was scheduled for July 20, but it has been delayed. In a blog post on Thursday, Ascendant chief executive and founder Bret Robbins said the extra time will be used “to further polish the game, finish optimizing all platforms, and deliver a strong launch.”
“We owe it to ourselves and to you to get this right,” Robbins said.
Immortals from Aveum The game was announced first at The Game Awards in 2022, and we got a more detailed preview in April. The game allows players to take on the role of a battlemage, a strong mage who uses magic in the same way as an elite soldier.
It’s a deep lore effort, set in a world that has merged high technology with arcane mysteries. A battlemage, who leads an elite squad of similar-powered soldiers in an existential struggle, is at the point of a spear.
Robbins was the founder of Ascendant, which was established in 2018 and is now a Call of Duty veteran. Robbins has worked on Visceral games, Dead Space as well as three Call of Duty releases. The studio now has more than 100 developers, with tenure on series ranging from BioShock and Borderlands to Telltale Games’ narrative adventures.
