How to unlock all abilities in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
A major change that has occurred in Tears of the Kingdom – The Legend of ZeldaThis is the latest in a new series You can also learn more about To grasp the concept.
These can be used to make (Fuse weapons), ride stones into the air, or even construct vehicles.
Here are the list of abilities, and how you can unlock them. The good news is most of them are available within the first few hours of the game by completing Great Sky Island’s shrines — and from there, there’s on additional ability to track down.
If possible, spoiler reasons, we’ll discuss this at the end of the page in the event you want to discover this first-hand.
What is Recall?

Recall can only be unlocked after you have completed the Nachoyah Shrine in Great Sky Island.
Recall allows you to ‘rewind’ objects in the world. Nintendo demonstrated this in an early gameplay demo, where Link used the Recall feature to make a stone that had fallen off of a sky-island shoot up into the air like an elevator. Link can jump and glide from the rock while it is returning to the skies.
Unlock Fuse (combining Weapons)

In order to unlock Fuse you will need to complete the In-isa Shrine located on Great Sky Island.
You can create special weapons by combining shields, arrows and other inanimate items with the Fuse feature. They appear to have more power, while others are unique. You can get specific ideas and recommendations for how you can use the ability by looking at our best Fuse combination. You can also un-Fuse the Fuse if you wish to reverse it.
Unlock Ultrahand to build structures

You must first complete the Ukouh Shrine located on Great Sky Island to unlock Ultrahand.
The Ultrahand ability is different from the Fuse ability: Rather than combining things together, you’re kind of glueing them together. By sticking objects together in specific ways, you can create vehicles, whether it’s a boat, car, or plane. It’s also used to solve puzzles throughout the world, including (but not limited to) Addison’s Hudson Construction puzzles.
Unlock Ascend to float through the ceiling.

In order to unlock Ascend you will need to complete the Gutanbac Shrine in Great Sky Island.
With Ascend you don’t need to wait for your stamina and climb each mountain. To reach the summit of a mountain, aim for the ceiling of a cavern and swim directly through. While you likely won’t be able to do this for every mountain, it’ll still be a helpful tool that’ll save you time and stamina.
How to unlock Link’s final ‘missing’ ability
After you’ve unlocked these four abilities, and finished the Great Sky Island area, you can explore Hyrule. However, you’ll quickly realize that one additional ability is missing from your selection tool. What is the final capability, and where can you find it, then?
[Ed. note: This section contains spoilers for a neat mechanic in Tears of the Kingdom.]
Autobuild is what the ability has been named. The in-game description says it will “instantly re-create your Ultrahand projects, using nearby items and zonaite. Autobuild [also] records your previous creations.”

It allows you to build a creation quickly from a list, without needing to use Ultrahand. Ideally, you’d do this when the required components are close by, consuming them; if they are not, then you have to use zonaite, a resource you can find (mostly in the Depths) to make up the difference.
As for what those listed creations are, they come in the form of recent builds in a “History” list, as well as any “blueprints” you have gathered, such as schema stones.
