How to open the Boiling Lake chest in Genshin Impact

New FontaineThe region is a Genshin Impact, you’ll find a locked precious chest in the middle of a lake, but the water is scalding hot and the slightest touch will damage you. You may have to work a little hard in order to get the chest, but once you do it will take you through an exciting adventure that includes a secret cave and a new puzzle.

To the south is the boiling lake ElynasTo the East of West Slopes Mont Automnequi. If you walk south on the path leading from the Statue of the Seven, you will find a lake which can cause you to get hurt if touched.

To unlock the chest, you’ll need to find three water volume detection crystalsMove them around to the middle of the lake.

1. Unlock the crystal by defeating the crabs in the lake.

2. Move the crystal into the center of Lake.

3. The second place marked on the above image is where you will interact. Ousia blockThe tree’s purple orb is visible at its top.

4. Click here to find out more about Hit Pneuma BlockUse the golden pillar in order to open the crystal and then interact with it so that it moves to the centre of the lake.

5. To unlock the third Crystal, go around the Lake to the 3rd location and light the thorns.

6. Move the crystals to the middle of the lake by interacting with them.

7. By gliding, swimming or even a combination of both, travel to the chest in the middle and take the Miracle hydrogranaThe orb of water above the chest.

8. Hydrograna creates a circle of water surrounding your character when you briefly step into the lake.

9. Standing in the middle of all three crystals will activate them simultaneously, unlocking your chest.

But wait, there’s more! You will be sent to the hidden cave by a current once you have opened the chest.

What to do when the lake is roiling?

Inside of the hidden cave, you’ll find a hydro pillar, a Pyro Abyss Mage, and some Pyro Slimes.

1. Before solving the puzzle, defeat all enemies.

2. Follow the blue path to the north and you will find the pedestal with a Hydro core and an illuminated campfire.

3. Hydrograna will be created when you are affected by Hydro.

4. Follow the blue trail to the east and you will find another campfire and pedestal.

5. You will find the wooden box next to the wall if you look to the south.

6. Break the box to unleash a hydrograna, and step into the water for a split second to afflict your character with Hydro — turning the hydrograna into a Hydro Core.

7. The Hydro Slimes are hidden in barrels.

8. The Hydro Core will be created by collecting the hydrograna from the broken barrels.

9. The Hydro Pillar will be unlocked when you place the Hydro Core on the pedestal.

10. Select a Hydro Character and use the Hydro Pillar to fill the cave.

12. Swim past Iron Viscount and open the chest to avoid fighting.

13. As you swim, follow the current.

14. You can find another stream of water in the right room. This will cool down the lake.

15. Diving into the lake will reveal a luxurious chestCollect your Primogems.
