How to increase potion and tonic potency in Final Fantasy 16

Beginning of Final Fantasy 16As you advance through the game, your potions will lose their healing ability and duration. As you progress through the story, your health will rise while healing potions are at the same level. To fix that, all you need to do is complete the side quest “Root Cause of the Problem.” However, it will take a bit to reach this quest, so hold on tight!

We’ve currently upgraded the potency of our potions and tonics once via the “The Root of the Problem” side quest and we know you can upgrade the potency once more thanks to the “With Two Ds” trophy, but we haven’t done so in our game yet. We will update this post with more information once we’ve discovered how to upgrade potion and tonic potency a second time.

The following are some of the ways to get in touch with us Final Fantasy 16, you can upgrade the potency of your consumables through the side quest “Root Cause of the Problem.”

To unlock the “The Root of the Problem” side quest, you must first reach the “The Storm After” main scenario quest.

1. Speak with Nigel to start the “The Root of the Problem” side quest. He’ll ask you to check the northern part of Rosaria looking for Morganbeards.
2. Travel to the “Martha’s Rest” Rosaria has a number of obelisks.Head to the quest markers to the right of Sorrowise.

3. To collect the morganbeards safely, either grab all three of them and quickly run away or kill the other goblins.

4. Return the morganbeards to Nigel at the Hideaway to complete the “The Root of the Problem” side quest.

Once you’ve successfully completed the quest, Nigel will give you morganbeard extractThe phial of morganbeard extract will increase the potency and duration of all your consumables. Your potions will restore more health with the extract of Morganbeard, and your strength tonics and stoneskin tonics and lionhearts tonics can last for longer.

Now that you’ve upgraded the potency of your consumables, you should increase your inventory space too!
