How to get an Empyreum house in FFXIV

The process of buying a house was always traumatic. FFXIVThe housing system was modified slightly by the developers when they added the Empyreum area to Ishgard. Our FF14 This housing guide shows you how to apply for housing lotteries in order to hopefully find a new house.

What’s different about FFXIV Housing?

All new housing lots were available to the first person who applied. If you wanted to buy any housing plots previously occupied, then you would need to wait for an invisible clock to run out before being allowed to purchase the plot. To buy the house, you will need to be able to stand still for an indeterminate amount of time. This could mean that you have to click a sign and sit down.

According to Square Enix, “All land that is available to purchase at Patch 6.1 will become subject to the lottery system.” In the future, some wards may still use the first-come, first-served (old) system, but for now, everything will be using a lottery.

What is the working of the lottery?

Every character has the option to choose only one house that they want to be part of the lottery. For five days, lottery entries will be accepted at houses. The winner will then be chosen and will have to claim their plot within four days. The new lottery will start for this plot if the winner does not claim it.

Click the placard located in front the vacant plot that you wish to enter into the lottery. You need to pay the full price of the housing plot up front, but it will be returned to you if you don’t get the land. You’ll need to revisit the same placard to get your refund.

If you win the lottery but do not claim the plot after winning, you’ll lose 50% of the deposited gil.

What are the steps to get my own house?

The Empyreum housing unit in Ishgard will help you determine the cost of your house. The cost of a small house is 3-4 million gil. Larges, on the other hand, cost from 16-20 millions to 20-24 million. You can click the placard to select the lot that interests you, then deposit the gil and hope for the best.

These are the requirements to be eligible for a home:

• Minimum one must be at level 50.
• Grand Company is ranked second or higher in lieutenant rank

How can I buy a house to rent for my Free Company

To get a house for a Free Company, it’s pretty much the same thing. Click the placard at the desired lot to sign up for the lottery, though you can only enter one housing lottery at a time, so if you’re signed up for a personal house, you can’t sign up again for a Free Company house.

As long as the eligibility requirements are met, each member of the Free Company may sign up to the lottery. If your FC has several members, you can all submit for one lot.

The following are required to qualify for the Free Company Housing lottery:

• At least rank 6 must be achieved by your Free Company.
• Your FC should have at least four members.
• For you to purchase land, your FC must give permission.
• At least 30 days must be spent in the FC

Is there housing available outside Ishgard as well?

To get bigger or better houses in Empyrium, many players will be able to enter housing lotteries. This means there will be lots of vacant plots after the second lottery ends.

Square Enix sent us an email confirmation confirming that All The lottery system will be used in plot 6.1 from the moment they are announced.

However, the new lottery will start after the nine-day period. The new housing lottery will begin on April 21, and continue for nine more days.
