How to fix the elevator in the Arcane Towers in BG3

During the “Omeluum needs your help to investigate the parasite” quest in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll be tasked with gathering some Timmask Spores and Tongues of Madness in the Arcane Tower. However, as you’re there, you might discover an elevator that doesn’t seem to work. Instead of taking the stairwell, you could fix the broken elevator to power the entire building.

The fastest way to reach the Arcane Tower is by using one of the mushroom rings found inside of Auntie Ethel’s cave. Two Arcane Cannons are located outside the tower and will continue to fire at you. They’re particularly weak to Lightning damage, so we recommend that you enter turn-based mode to take them out before they shoot you.

Fixing the elevator in Arcane Tower BG3

1. Arcane Sentries are particularly vulnerable to Lightning, so you should destroy them.

2. Open the door of the balcony and head to the south side of your room to see large mushrooms growing on the side.

3. You can jump to the mushroom and go to the balcony.

4. Find the inside of the Timmask SporesThe following are some examples of how to get started: Tones of Madness for the “Help Omeluum Investigate the Parasite” quest and the Threadbare BookThe shelves Along the Western Wall. It is important to finish the book, as you will need it later.

5. Return to the balcony and drop down to the next mushroom, but be careful because you will take a lot of fall damage if you don’t cast Feather FallsOn your Party

6. Take a glowing glowstick from the corner of the tower. Sussur Blooms.

7. You can either lockpick the locked door or break it down.

8. Look inside to find it. Power GeneratorAt the middle of the room.

9. Use the Sussur Flower to place it in the blank slot at the top of the Combine Items menu.

10. By pressing the combine button, you will restore the power to all of Arcane Tower and activate the elevator.

The most important book to interact with is the Threadbare Book from step 4, as it unlocks the “What can I do to trust ?…?” dialogue option, which will lead to Bernard giving you a The Guiding Light Ring. The ring unlocks a hidden button in the elevator which takes you down to the bottom of the tower where there are more Tongues of Madness and Timmask Spores.
