A missing hotel owner
When you talk to the person at the desk, you learn that they don’t work there. They were asked to watch the desk for the hotel owner while he went off to make beds in the nearby area. We need to find the owner of the hotel, who hasn’t returned.
There are several different excavation sites that the team of surveyors is currently working on. We want to visit the one northwest of Kakariko Village. There are several platforms and scaffolds jutting from the slope. Climb up the ladders and onto the platform that has the tents.

Once you’re there, you’ll see two characters. Gordi is the stressed out onlooker. One character is sleeping. Gordi tells you the owner of the hotel has fallen asleep over a valuable artifact, and needs to get up. Shouting won’t work, though. Gordi recommends the aroma of a truffle.
If you have an edible truffle, pull it from your pocket and place it on the slab of stone where the owner of the hotel is asleep to continue the quest. You can also go and get one.
Truffle hunting is a great way to spend a day.
Gordi claims to have seen a truffle growing at the foot of Kakariko Village’s waterfall. The waterfall is located in the town. Go to the water’s source, and climb up. You’ll see a small entrance to a hidden cave. Walk while crouching to enter and you’ll discover Kakariko Village Cave.

The cave ends with a platform that is raised and the Bubbulfrog. To get the Bubbul gemstone, you must defeat the Bubbulfrog. Then, close to the base of the raised rock, you’ll see a hearty truffle you can grab. It’s very hard to see because it blends in with the pattern of the ground. It is still there.
