The following are some of the ways to get in touch with us Diablo 4 season 1, elemental resistance was multiplicative — meaning it’d increase by a percentage of what your total resistance was based on what percent your base resistance was. It was possible to boost elemental resistance as high as your heart desired, and there were no limits. This made it so that you would be impervious towards anything if you got the right gear, or the right item percentages. Blizzard redesigned the way that system worked in Season 2. Diablo 4.
There are five different types of elementsal damage. Diablo 4:
- Fire
- Lightning
- Cold
- Poison
- Shadow
The elemental resistances are now a Base cap of 70%You can also use a Hard cap of 85%. In other words, you won’t be able to boost your elemental resistance in a way where you’ll be completely impervious to certain types of elemental damage. Instead, you will want to factor in items that grant the elemental resistance you’re looking for, and work that into your use of Elixirs, Gems, and any slots you’ve filled in your Paragon Board. Surviving Diablo 4The second season is calculated, I’m not kidding.
If you play on any World Tier over World Tier 2, your resistance to elemental damage will be knocked down by 25% on World Tier 3You can also find out more about the following: World Tier 4: 50% off. As a result, it is crucial to increase your resistance in order to take on even the hardest fights.
You’ll want to boost your elemental resistance as high as possible. Rings and amulets, for example, will have a resistance against all elements and a random resistance. You will need to work hard to get the elemental resistance cap, since it is entirely random.

The elemental resistance can be added in several ways to your build. Diablo 4In season 2, you can earn Paragon points by using Gems, Elxirs and Incense. Anything you can find will increase your resistance to elements and help you reach the soft cap of 70%. Since stat boost percentages are random across your gear, you’ll want to find specific items that increase elemental resistance by a flat percentage: Gems.
Each Gem comes with a specific elemental resistance. The higher quality the Gem is, the greater its resistance. As an example, the resistance of a Flawless gem will be higher than that of a Chipped gemstone.
The following table shows which Gems are associated with what Resistances as well as the percentage increases for each level of quality:
