Hot Wheels Returns to Forza in the First, Eagerly Awaited Expansion to Forza Horizon 5

Today at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, we announced that Forza Horizon and Hot Wheels are back together, with the Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion. This new expansion will be available on Xbox consoles and PCs on Windows, Steam and Cloud Gaming (Beta) July 19. It introduces players the new Horizon Hot Wheels Park, which is located high up in the sky above Mexico.

Horizon Hot Wheels Park, Hi!

The new Horizon Hot Wheels Park has some of the fastest, most extreme tracks ever in a Horizon game, including more than 200 kilometres (that’s around 125 miles for our non-metric friends) of twisting, looping iconic orange track. Hot Wheels has a vast open-world with many new driving experiences, such as the gravity-defying magnet tracks and water flume tracks.

We’ve also added four new biomes, including the rugged Giant’s Canyon; the Ice Cauldron where frozen tundra drips into the glistening molten lava; Forest Falls which takes you high above the tree canopy and over epic waterfalls, and finally, the visually stunning Horizon Nexus, where the Horizon Festival is suspended among a web of Hot Wheels tracks.

Hot Wheels Legend

Hot Wheels Hots Events can be unlocked by players. Players also have the opportunity to complete five new Horizon Stories that celebrate Hot Wheels history. Along your journey to becoming a Hot Wheels Legend, look out for new Accolades, Bonus Boards, Floating Piñata collectibles, PR Stunts and new Hot Wheels Seasonal Events which contribute to your overall Festival Playlist completion.

Forza’s first co-op mode allows you to join with friends and enjoy the whole expansion. Horizon Open allows you to compete against the rest of the world, and Horizon Tour lets you team up with Drivatars to race in a team. All Horizon Hot Wheels Park players can instantly unlock Fast Travel, which allows you to reach friends quickly no matter their location on the map.

We’re also so excited to see what players dream up in EventLab, where you’ll have the freedom to design, build, and share using the new Hot Wheels Creation Kit.

We’ve added over 80 new track and stunt pieces that instantly snap together thanks to new improvements to the EventLab toolset. Hot Wheels Creation Kit includes new props that can be attached with just a push of a button when you use the Blueprint Maker.

Those Cars, Though… 

We couldn’t bring you a new Hot Wheels adventure without new cars. We’re excited to expand the Forza Horizon 5Ten brand new To Forza cars in the fleet, four of which are Hot Wheels at life-size.

My personal favorite is the Chevrolet Hot Wheels COPO Camaro 2018, which was inspired by 1968’s first Hot Wheels Custom Camaro.
