Horizon Forbidden West presents six skill trees. You can choose the Aloy you want from a variety of abilities. Whether she’s a melee-focused butt-kicker or a stealth-oriented machine hacker, there’s no wrong answer in terms of what you choose. But it is sometimes difficult to know where you should start. 

Though it’s ideal to focus on maximizing one or two trees, each has staple abilities that every player should have, no matter their playstyle. These essential skills cost only one skill point and are easily available from the first set of traits.
