Hogwarts Legacy guide: how to unlock Arithmancy doors

You will soon leave your common areas in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll encounter locked doors surrounded in golden images of magical beasts. The door faces are adorned with two triangles when you attempt to open them. There are numbers on some corners, while the picture of a creature is found at others corners. The last corner contains a question mark. Keep reading to learn more about the Arithmancy doors and which beasts are best suited to take over each corner.

How to Open the Arithmancy Doors in Hogwarts Legacy

This puzzle reveals the secrets of arithmancy Hogwarts Legacy You can open the door by simply solving simple math problems. Every magical creature around the door has a number associated. Based on the pictures, you can figure out the number. The unicorn has one horn, while the spider is eight-legged so eight. But, there are other things. The tricky part for many players that stumps them is the Numerics begin at zero.

To unlock the door, you’ll have to find the two missing numbers in their triangles. Add the numbers and subtract from the middle of the triangle. The resulting number will be associated with a magical beast that you’ll have to input into triangles around the door. 1. Interact with the door to reveal the triangles.
2. Add the numbers in the corners to make the triangle. The above image shows that 11 + 2 = 13 would apply to the top triangle, and 5 +9 = 14 for its bottom.
3. Add the numbers in the triangle to the sum of both the previous steps. This would give 21 – 13 = 8, 17 – 14, = 3, for the top and bottom triangles.
4. You will find the magic beast that goes with the numbers: the spider for top triangles and three-headed snakes.
5. Search for nearby triangles on the wall that are labeled with “?” and “??”. If you’re having a hard time finding the triangles, use revelio near the Arithmancy door, and look around to see highlighted triangles on the wall.
6. Add the four magical creatures to their triangles. For the image above, the triangle with a “?” would be the spider and the triangle with a “??” would be the three-headed snake.
7. You can interact again with the door to unlock it and to open the chests within to get your rewards.
